Who are KIDS/NTS?

KIDS/NTS is a mobile intensive care unit (contained within an ambulance).

KIDS provides emergency specialist transport for critically ill children across the region.
NTS transports babies, including the most fragile and premature, to the right neonatal until that can care for their specialist requirements.

The service makes sure that more than 2,000 newborn, small babies and children requiring intensive care and emergency treatment are transferred to the right place, at the right time for the right treatment.

This service also helps find beds for expectant mothers who need to be transferred from their local hospital to another, more specialised hospital in order to provide the appropriate care required for them and/or their baby. We’ve partnered up with Collection 4 Clothes, a local clothing collection company, who collect donated good quality clothing, accessories, shoes, linen & bric-a-brac on our behalf. We don’t have any charity shops on the high street, so this is a way of donating your old belongings to us from the comfort of your home.
