Art Kart

We offer weekly volunteering opportunities to our corporate supporters which are extremely popular!

Art Kart provides our corporate supporters with the chance to spend some time in our busy outpatient and emergency departments and entertain our patients through arts and crafts! You will be supervised by one of our lovely Play Faciliators, Megan (pictured) or Minara, who will make sure all volunteers have a great time!

Children can often be waiting to see our medical staff for long periods of time and this can increase stress and anxiety levels – of both patients and parents alike! We provide art and craft activities to keep the children distracted and to provide them with something fun (involving googly eyes) to take home. We need between four and six volunteers each week to facilitate these activities.

Jane Bryan, from Lloyds Mid Markets, said: “Art Kart is such a wonderful experience.  Everybody at Lloyds that has taken part is keen to do so again and we have a queue of volunteers awaiting future dates.  The children are a real pleasure to get to know and when the parents come up to you offering their thanks for making their visit so much easier it makes it even more worthwhile.  We love Art Kart!”

Seasonal Volunteering

Ward Decorating

Every Christmas we invite our corporate supporters to decorate a ward or department within our hospital to help us spread some festive cheer to the children and families that we support. This is a great chance for our corporate supporters to get involved, meet some of our patients and see the difference that their fundraising throughout the year has made.

Elf Duty (Christmas)

Every Christmas we need help to sort and deliver Christmas presents around our hospital. This support is invaluable, so why not nominate your boss to do it in an Elf costume??

Bunny Duty (Easter)

At Easter we often get inundated with chocolate eggs and arts and crafts materials. We need your help to sort and distribute these to the wards, plus it’s a great excuse to dress as an Easter bunny!

Can you volunteer your lunch hour, morning or afternoon and help bring some Easter cheer?

Christmas Concert

Each year we hold a Christmas Concert which is the highlight of our festive activities. We need volunteers to help before and during the event, why wouldn’t you want to be part of such a fabulously festive event!?

Could you be an Ambassador?

We know that many of you are already very passionate about our hospital and therefore you are our greatest commodity.

Having ambassadors to spread the word of the life-changing work we do at the hospital every day can be very refreshing to our supporters. No one can tell their personal stories better than you. We want to provide you with the platform in which to share your stories. Whether it be speaking at a corporate event, or taking new corporate supporters on a tour, we want you to be the voice of our charity.
